Longest Tailfeathers??

Just trying to keep this alive. No one ever talks about pheasant season so just wondering whats the longest tailfeathers u guys have ?? the birds that i shoot only have around 20" tailfeathers but theirs a few exceptions. I am getting a pheasant mounted this year. i've always wanted to get one mounted but i could never get the perfect bird to do it to. i have a bird in my freezer now its a nice bird but the tailfeathers are only about 17 inches long. I'm hoping my luck changes around real quick and i get a nice one over 20" tailfeathers good color- to mount. I figured their will be some long tailfeathers out of all these hunters on this site.

I got one this weekend that was 23", and opening weekend my stepdad got one that was 26"...The guy we were hunting with, said a few years ago he shot one that was 30"...I was like, WOW

I have a 22 feather, but not form this year. This year my wifes wiemer keeps tearing the tail feathers out for some reason LOL
Had a nice bird last weekend with long spurs(white tipped) but no tail feathers left by the time it made it back to me.
 
Got one on the wall with a 27"
and 2 at 25" but it has been awhile to see a bird with that long of a tail!
 
i got one once that had a tailfeather 4 and 1/2 feet long.

i just got out of the truck at a farm, got the gun loaded, and just then this huge phesant come cruisin' by. well i wasn't gonna let this one have a fair chance to get away, so i shot him where he stood.

Jeez, it was the most colorful phesant i ever shot.

He was mostly blue with these great big tail feathers that looked like they had eyeballs on the ends of them. He was alot bigger than any other phesant i ever seen too! i never heard tell of any record keepin' for phesants but i bet this one would be in a class all by itself.....

...my longest are around 25"...my brother has a couple at 26" and 1 darn near 27"...I was in an eastern Iowa Walmart (Iowa City maybe?) 6 or 7 years ago that had just finished up a long tail feather contest...the winner was taped to the glass of the firearm case...it was just a hair over 32"!...the hens probably were missing him the following spring!

i'm mounting one that i just shot thismorning that was around 20 " long but wow thats awsome. I am gona mount him flying. We should have a contest on the site for longest tailfeathers???? or not ???

The longest i have ever gotten would have to 24 1/2 inches long. The spurs on this bird were very long as well.
 
I found a roadkill at one of my trapping spots that had tail feathers around 3 feet long. Problem was they were all beat up and were yucky from being draged around by a scavenger. Mostly just the middles left.

hey moosehunter. These tailfeathers are driving me crazy 4.5 foot long wow i got out a tape measure todya and put at 4and half foot and OMG i think we all need to see some pics of this monster tailfeather if u have ne.. please post. My longest would be around 22 23 inches long. Thismorning i shot one before school right at 8:05 5 minutes into legal time and he had 22 inch tailfeathers. so now the one i had in the freezer - came out and i cut his frozen @$$ up and stuck this one in their so i'm gona mount him. UNLESS i get a bigger one.

GOT 2 BIRDS TODAY BOTH 23" FEATHERS ON THIS YEARS BIRDS! THEY GROW FAST!
