Well i'm on my way out for my first hunt in IA

I have recently seen some sites selling significant tracts of land in the loess hills area... if you happen to have say $300k burning a hole in your pocket, you might consider buying (and letting me hunt the area, cuz you took my advice)

thanks guys, looking forward to it. wish i had 300k to buy land out there, unfortunately it's to far to make it out but a one week. i hope the deer are moving better than here, they are to busy eating all the acorns in their bedding areas.

thanks, i checked accuweather.com and it was calling for temps to fall next week. same thing on the weather channel. highs in the 50's starting around Halloween. it even called for snow one night.
this will be the first trip out of this area for my dad & I. My dad is like a kid waiting on x-mas to get here. he calls every night for the past 2 months wanting to talk about it.

Dirtball, get your plane ticket to Omaha and you can go. I leave Thurs @ 4 arrive in Omaha around 7. We are going to spend at least 1 day bird hunting. Bring your gun and you can shoot at them too.
