Looking for knife maker

I'm looking for a knife maker to make my son a knife. I want to use my first found shed for the handle and a damascus blade that I have already purchased. I was going to make it myself but am worried that it won't turn out as good as I want it to. So if anyone is a
Knife maker or knows of someone please let me know.

If needed I can post pictures of what I have to work with.

send it to my place with a 30 pack of Bud Light and a 5th of Captain, and I'm sure I could come up with something :D

I'm sure I could come up with something with that mix but I want it to look and work good :way: :)

I'm selling some knives from a local guy at my shop. He does good work and makes some sweet sheaths to go with them. Although the shed does look large compared to the blade I'm sure he could do it. Maybe it's just the pic but the blade just looks skinny compared to the shed. Might look goofy but if that's what you want. That's what you want. Let me know if your interested and I can give you his email or you could ship the stuff to me and I can get it to him.

I will try to post a few pics of his knives tomorrow.

I agree that the shed and blade don't match up. I was.thinking that a section of the main beam could be used and would match up better. I am not set on using this pairing.

I, too, agree that they don't match up. Perhaps a tine or, as you suggest, a section of the main beam. Great idea and gift for your son. Now you got me to thinking about ideas for my kids. Where did you get the blade?

And, by the way, I have to give you props for the "lucky wrist sling". One of my favorite comments!

A tine would be better but here's the problem I see with this build. The tang, from what i can see in the pic, has it's top edge level with the top of the blade.

No matter what size of antler a person puts on it, there will be a considerable amount of bone sticking up above the knifes spine. With a knife that has the tang in the center of the blade, you drill the hole, glue it on and sand down so it's level with the top. Impossible to do with this blade because if you sand down that far, you will sand through the antler, exposing the tang. If it isn't sanded down, then there's a bunch of bone above the blade which really doesn't look very good IMHO.
The only way I can see antler working is to use a much smaller piece of antler, probably a tine. Drill the hole as close as possible to the top and glue on after fabricating some sort of guard. sanding the antler at a taper to attempt to make the transition from top of blade to handle as smooth as possible. It will still be sticking above by at least 1/8 inch.
Here's a couple examples I found on the net with handles above the spine.

If something like that would work, straight forward job.
