I was watching HIGH PLACES recently and Jeff James killed a nice buck in this field using a muzzleloader. Has anyone else seen this episode? I want to say it is in Iowa. I want to find out if this location is huntable or not. I have emailed Commanwealth Productions and got a response from someone, but was told Jeff picked hunts/places and they weren't sure about the location. Any help is appreciated.

It may be huntable, but probably will cost at least $2500. If there was no contact info for an outfitter at the end of the show, it is probably well managed private land.

It is not huntable unless you want to pay big bucks...Pretty sure leased ground...across the river from my families ground...

Thanks for the replies...If you live in Mississippi, as I do, and want to hunt in Iowa, better be ready to pay big bucks to hunt big bucks. I've been all over the internet looking at outfitters places and prices...$2500-$5000.

X2. The bow hunting world is changing rapidly. If you don't have deep pockets it pretty tough to find some excellent quality land to hunt and manage. Everything in this world comes down to money.

Deer don't care how picturesque it looks, provide quality habit and it will take care of it's self.

I take pride in working my family's land, are there places I see on TV that look amazing and I would love a chance to own/manage of course, but I take pride in knowing I created what I have. At the same time, I am eternally grateful for my grandparents and their dedication to being farmers and working the land. If they wouldn't have purchased this land god knows my family wouldn't have it!

The cost of land at this point, is just ridiculous. You factor in machinery and the costs of diesel, very tough for an average person to become a land owner.

There are lots of places in Iowa that look like that. Jeff James isn't the first guy to take a nice buck on a really nice looking parcel. If you come to Iowa drive across from west to east or east to west and you'll see a thousand places that look like this or better, stop and ask permission...worst thing they can say it "no"

im gessing NE iowa or south Iowa and i am guessing NOT huntable which everything is coming to, unless your lucky enough to have it in the family. Born and raised in Iowa and I hate what its coming to, all about the $$$$

Our back food plot looks like that minus the deer. I wish we had one of these so called deer problems. That would be a fun field to hunt if you got the money.
