58 degrees and rain was the forcast for Saturday morning (04-29-06) Not the most exciting hunting weather but the rest of the weekend looked worse. I accepted an invitation from a buddy to hunt a Van Buren Co farm. We were set up early but the rain kept the gobblers completely quiet. About 1/2 hour after normal flydown time two hens pitched into our setup. Then came 5 jakes, and finally a long beard. At 12 yards the arrow hit perfect and he died two yards from the hit. Then jakes got all cocky and started gobbling and circling the fallen bird. It was a great hunt with a great friend. We captured it on video but it was his first videographer experience. Oh well, any video is better than none!
