Magnus Bullheads & Arrows

I'm seriously contemplating getting a set of 3 Bullheads for my NM turkey hunt this spring. Since I get 2 tags OTC, I will likely go after 1 bird w/ my shotgun and the other w/ my bow. It seems that Bullheads are the way to go vs. Guillotines, but my question is regarding the arrow. How crucial is it to get the Victory arrows Magnus recommends (3/$30)? I would be getting the .300 spine for my Z7 @ 71lbs, based on their website. But, for ~$50, I can get a half-dozen of my Easton ST Epics 400 spine (8.6 gpi) and just have 3 of them left longer, while the other 3 will fall in with my regular hunting arrows. I shoot 100 gr field tips and broadheads, so I'd get the 100 gr Bullheads to keep the sighting the same. So again, will my current arrows work if left/cut longer or are the Victory arrows really that crucial? And if my Eastons will work just fine, should the 3 I have set up for Bullheads have the 4" fletches or do Blazers work ok with Bullheads? Of course, by the time I drop the cost of all this on my wife, my plan could very well be null and void this season with a goal for next season.

I'd definitely go with a .300 spine arrow, you'll be way underspined with a .400, and your spine will need to be close to get those big heads to fly straight. For vanes I use a 5" right wing feather with a helical twist. I shoot 65 lbs, .300 spine Easton Axis, 5" right wing helical feathers, and the 4" 125 grain guillotine out of my Reezen. Flies right with my field points.

I'll be using Bullheads this year, but as of now I can't give a honest review because I've never shot them.

They work well but I have had better luck with the diamond guillotine. It folds up and often I have bent the magnus blades if I missed etc.
Both work great though, although I prefer the diamond.

Stiffer than normal arrows, and large fletching are crucial to aid in "steering" this head-or you might end up with a boomerang :)
