Mathews dealer suggestions please

I am officially done with Fin and Feather. I can't believe the lack of knowledge and know-how of 90% of the employees. They make the kids and Scheels look like experts. Old Larry is the only one I'll let touch my bow and he is never there when I go in.

Anyway I'm looking for a Mathews dealer that can actually set up a bow correctly within 80 miles of Coralville. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

I've heard good things about the place in Agency. Never been there only drove by it. It was always on Sundays so it was never open.

Yep, head south to Agency. Those guys are top notch and can definately set any mathews up. Not to mention thier shop is full of big Iowa Whitetail that they Harvested.

I go to cental range in dubuque, they are very knowledgable and friendly! Yes they are a mathews dealer.

Whitetail Archery in Agency is top notch! But, with my farm down there sold I have to look for a place in NW DSM area now and I'm on the search too! Good luck!

whitetail archery is top notch i am friends with them guys they are great can help you with whatever you need get all my bow work done there

i go to palo outdoors for work on my bow. it's actually where i bought my bow in the first place. didn't get a mathews tho. got a mission maniac. great guys. smaller shop but they carry about everything you could need and have a shooting range below. i can't imagine going anywhere without a range. not to mention they have plenty of fishing gear. and i share the same feelings as you breiner11. tried fin and feather but had bad experiences with service and the lack thereof.

Tad and Jason at Whitetail Archery in Agency are great! I shoot winter indoor league down there and they have set up several bows for me. I remember paper tuning my Switchback and having some off-center tears. Jason grabbed my bow from me and shot bullet holes with it! He then showed me how my grip was throwing off my shot, not the tuning. They are the largest Mathews dealer in the area and always have a lot of stuff in stock!:way:

American outdoors, Sam Collora south of Mt. Pleasant on 218 great guy to work with and will have that thing shooting great in no time. Down to earth guy and he will make sure its right. Also you get to look at all the deer and elk running around his place.

X10!! Sam is the best and he knows his stuff!! :way::way::way: He will always get my money!!! I have been bowhunting for 30+ years and have dealt with about every kind off archery dealer there is! Sam is is about it !! :way:

Yeah, Larry needed to retire due to his shoulder. I also got fed up with the kids at Fin and Feather, they're very impersonal, nonprofessional (i.e running down other customers) and seriously lacking any expertise. Might want to consider getting setup to do your own work.

Thanks guys, I think I'll give Sam a try. Do you think he helped tune Rod White's bow. He is a pretty good shot:D Too bad about Fin and Feather, if you drop $1500 on a rig someone at the shop should be able to set it up. I bet if Mathews knew how their shop was run they would pull their brand.
