MATHEWS Drenalin VS DXT

I have the option of buying a solid Drenalin that is in new shape for cheaper than a new bow OR of course the new DXT or whatever for some more $.
MY CONCERN is I have always preferred the longer bows and the DXT is the extreme of short, the Drenalin I am comfortable with BUT a couple I talked to said "don't worry about it being short, you'll be fine" in regards to the DXT, in summary.
I see the Drenalin being about the same speed. Some have said the DXT is a bit smoother and maybe a touch faster.
All in all, how do you generally feel about the comparison of the two?

I've shot both, and they're both great bows, but I favor the DXT. Its a little quieter, and its very forgiving for being such a short axle to axle. There's hardly any speed difference, I think the Drenalin is 318 ibo and the DXT is 322 ibo, so they're both plenty fast. If you prefer longer bows, I'd say the Drenalin is the way to go. There are a lot of guys out there who love that bow.

AND the DXT is not the extreme of short. That title would go to a particular PSE model called the X-Force Super Short, right Andy? /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I think that bow has a 26" ATA.

thanks for clearing that up for me Andy! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I would rather have the shorter ATA DXT. I have shot both, and used to use a Drenalin. I enjoy the manueverability of the smaller bow, and they are also a ton of fun to shoot! Given the choice between the two, I would buy the DXT for sure.
