I had a new buck show up this week, and I really can't tell what he is. He's got a big body, and his back looks swayed somewhat, but that might just be the angle of the picture. It looks like he's got good tine length, but not a whole lot of mass. What do you think?

I think this buck is maybe 3.5 or 4.5...big body but lacking the mass makes me think younger. His nose isn't very block either

Hard to say...that belly makes him look like an older deer. Along with the back as you said. If he is a youger deer, sure hasn't missed any meals.

I'd say he's just a healthy 2.5yr old, this time of the year deer not only feed a lot more because of the cold coming but also balloon up for the rut, IMO. He's be a stud in a couple years. Had a buck that looked just like that with tall 2's. This year he absolutely blew up into a pig.

It would shock me if this was a 2.5 year old deer. This may be a healthy 2.5 year old deer in Iowa, but our deer in Oklahoma don't have the bodies that Iowa deer do, and this guy is quite a bit bigger than some of the other bucks I'm getting on camera. Hopefully, he'll give me a closer look.
