I've decided to call him Medusa because of the junk shooting off his base. I'd noticed that one shoot still covered in velvet looked like a snake's tongue, and then I got the picture of him facing the camera with his head down and that sealed the deal with the name.
This buck hasn't made a daylight appearance, and he's probably only 3.5 years old, but I really think these points are the result of an injury and may not be there next year so I've decided to hunt him exculsively.
No indications of the rut here in Oklahoma, but I'm hoping he comes out to play when it does!
