meeting to consider dove season

the NRC will consider setting a season for dove hunting at its meeting wednesday (4-13) at honey creek state park. the meeting starts at 10 am, public comments will be allowed. opponents see this as a last chance to block dove hunting.

the agenda calls for a 70 day season, starting sept1 statewide. 15 daily, 30 possession limit.

after today's (4-8) editorial by rekhu basu, i'm sure there will be a push from the antis.

if you can attend the meeting, by all means, do so. but it would be a good idea to get one last push at committee members by phone and/or email.
