Have you guys and gals been seing much midday movement? I was just curoius. I hunted yesterday from dawn until around noon and didn't see anything between 10:30 and noon. Came back out around 2: 15 and seen the first deer at 4:15. I was just curious to know what everyone else has been noticing during the midday.

Most of the deer I have been seeing has been from about 1:30 to 3:30. I am up in North Central Iowa...

I hunted Saturday from noon until dark. Saw 2 does at 12:30 and then nothing until 5pm.

Going back out soonm today and see if they are moving early. My hunting buddies wife shot a nice 8 with 2 jickers this morning (her first racked deer), and they are hunting the far end of the timber not even seeing many deer.

Rut seems slow in this timber in Linn County, have not seen or heard any bucks on the does.

My friend wounded a buck that would score in the high 170's saturday at 2:45. He was chasing after a doe. Shortly after this a 130"in 8 pt. came running by with his tongue hanging out and grunting the whole way. Good mid day movement on Saturday, November 5th of 2005.

I hunted full days on Oct 31st and on Nov 1st and didn't see a deer on either day from 8:45ish until about 2:45ish on both days. Kind of makes for long days. he, he

Jethro, most of the deer i have been seeing have been early morning and right at sunset. I think this heat has something to do with that!

most of the deer I've been seeing have been in the dark(I guess I could hear more so than see them) either before I could see in the morning or after i could see at night. Not much at all during daylight hours...

This was last weekend Nov4,5 and 6th in north central iowa - franklin county

a little yearling buck went by my stand at 2 yesterday panting like a dog. I'm seeing deer about any time with a lull about 3-4 o'clock

Well boys a cold front moved in today. It was close to 75 today but tomorrow its not gonna break 55. Bet the deer will start moving sometime this week.
