When do you guys usually start your mineral sites.

Been out since the middle of February.

What Skyleralan said although I left my cameras on the lick through the season and into feb. and the deer used the licks heavily from Aug-NOv. I hadn't seen that prior when I kept the cams on them through the season. Not sure the reason but I did use a different mineral this past year that wasn't heavy on salt.

I keep mine fresh from April 1st through spot sept 1st....pretty much the antler growing season.

Same here, now till Sept 1 then I remove all that I can....don't want to be accused of baiting

They like it when digesting green plants in the Summer. Not much use for winter months anyway.

I run a 50lb bag of mineral every two weeks per site but normally the mineral is long gone by then...just refresh when it's gone

With a trophy rock, once a month right now....in July Aug, the use drops off considerably....once they are hard horned I pull them for multiple reasons

I like the trophy rock too. It seems to last a long time and obviously is easy to remove when the time comes.

Time will tell on my new spot. On my Indiana farm they delete the mineral (25lb.) about every 3 weeks

February. Feb & March are critical months to replenish needed minerals and vitamins for skeletal structure. Of course I love to see them gobbling it up thru July
