Minnesota Bowhunters, Inc.... Please Help!!

After being a member of this site for many years, it is abundantly clear that Iowa has a fantastic organization looking out for all of its bowhunters....the IBA!!!

I have been a member of Minnesota's version of the IBA(the MBI for many years), but not until recently was I aware of how our Membership numbers have dipped. We currently have 430 members, with 70,000 bowhunters in our state this is downright pathetic!

To put this in perspective, WI has ~100,000 bowhunters and The WBA has 8500 members, if MBI had a similar participation rate we would boast ~7000 members. It is hard to be taken to seriously by the DNR and the legislators without strong membership numbers.

What we would like to do, is set a reasonable goal of doubling our membership in 1 year.

If you are on this site and are from MN, you are a serious whitetail hunter, and have no excuse not to join your own states organization. See the link below and sign up today. A one year membership is only 15 measly dollars.

I am personally a member of the IBA as well! If you are from Iowa and want to show some support for our states orginazation I would appreciate it immensely! Remember, its only 15$.

You'll find getting people to join is not the easiest thing to do.

It's tough to understand, but unless something terribly affects people they "generally" won't get involved.

As a rep I make a good effort to make people aware of the IBA. I know quite few guys from my area that will tell you how their passion is bowhunting and tell you of all their success, yet still won't give out the $20.00 for membership and get involved in protecting what obviously means so much to them.

Yes, $20.00, that's all!

I did get 5 bites on the MN bowsite forum!

I'm pretty much amazed by the apathy of many bowhunters as well! 15 dollars for a year membership to support your state bowhunter org. for 1 year,

or a case of beer????? Seems like a no-brainer to me.

The reasons others dont join seem very petty! Guess you cant figure on everyone to support their own passion. With major Animal rights mergers taking place today, you would think that you would want to help defend bowhunting!

What I said above goes for all you Iowa guys too! Join the IBA or be a fool! I know there are still alot of you Iowans who take for granted what you have! You have been closer than you think to losing some of it.

Support your IBA, b/c without them your hunting would not be what it is today. Sh!t I'm a member and I only get to Hunt every 3 years. You have no excuse! Join Today!
