I've never hunted MN but grew up in WI. I know MN has some nice deer and with the APRs they have in place in the SE part of the state I've heard people say it has helped the quality there. My dad and brothers have worked in the northern part of the state and have talked to locals that have had success on some real big deer but that part of the state has lots of big woods along with some people that will shoot the first deer with antlers they see (nothing wrong with it but just pointing this out). Additionally you may run into some wolves up north but if you get back in far enough there are some big bucks to be had up north as St. Louis County used to be their #1 B&C county in the state (not sure about now). I've heard there is less public in SE MN so access/hunting pressure may be difficult there but it seems you have good luck no matter where you go so give it a try. Good luck and let us know how you do.
