Missouri Launches Online Hunting and Fishing Permit System

Most Missouri hunting and fishing permits will be available to purchase and print over the Internet starting in March.

The state Department of Conservation says its new system, called e-Permits, will allow people to buy permits online and print them on regular computer printers — making them immediately available from home.

All sport-fishing, hunting and trapping permits will be available through e-Permits.

Missourians have been able to buy permits online since 2002. But under the old system, people received only a confirmation notice, which they had to use while waiting to receive their actual permits through the mail. That sometimes took up to two weeks.

When fully implemented, the department expects e-Permits will reduce the cost of issuing permits by about $500,000 annually.

Be nice if Iowa would do this for resident tags and pass the saving on to the hunters:D

I still don't understand the no hunt after noon rule they have down there.

-That being said, there will be some level of convenience, however, also a HUGE potential for abuse. I guess outlaws will be outlaws, regardless of how they obtain their tags, licenses, etc.
