I am not sure why there is so much black around the fawns eyes. I am guessing maybe flies ? The flies have been really thick on the deer lately. notice all the flies around the does head.
by the time we saw the bucks out the sun was down and I had very slow shutter speed with the 300 mm. still, I got some shots where you can see the racks.
the bucks are moving quite a bit in their bachelor groups right now.
