I got this emailed to me today. Story goes that this deer was found caught in a fence close to dead. I suspect it may be a pen raised deer. Probably worth a lot of money to the owner. Nice specimen though...

alaskanwhtail - if the first thing you're noticing aout the pic is the girl maybe you need to move back to the lower 48?

Is that deer really alive or is it a staged photo? An absolute monster. I must have missed the story on this buck a few years ago. Can someone give me the real info.?

Like everyone above said its an old photo that makes the rounds every 6mos. to a year. You hear a different story with each posting. I probably believe a post a couple years ago that said he knew the lady in the photo and it was a pet. But, I doubt if the real facts can ever be verified.

Huh? What the heck is the story on this behemoth? If it is pen raised, the poor thing looks like it's hooked to an IV seen on the right side of the photo.

The story that made it around here a couple of years ago with that photos was that the deer injured itself or was injured somehow and required surgery and these were pictures from some vet students there in Texas. I do think it was a pen raised deer from what I can recall.

Don K, I figured it was something like that. Just having some post season fun with ya. So what's up with that Buckwheat hairdo?

Looks like he has some good benefits. Wish my HMO would take that much interest in my health!
