More poachers busted in iowa.

I'm hearing there is a big bust from the Jackson County area that should be in the papers soon. Rifles, spotlights and big deer.

Holly schnikes. 145 counts of unlawful possession of squirrels. That's a lot of squirrels.

haha... i thought the same thing.. but looking at the name, sounds like some of those orientals/mongs that just raid the woods and shoot anything and everything in sight...

What they fail to mention is several bucks over the 200" mark confinscated these guys didnt even look at deer under 165 finally they got busted.

Well that's good that they weren't shooting the smaller younger bucks right? Practicing good QDM. :D

I'm about sick of hearing about this. I don't understand one bit the motivation behind it. Especially seeing all the fines and people getting busted, why are people continuining to do it?

Hope this line is correct:

"The investigation is continuing and we anticipate more arrests in the case," Flynn said.

Seems to be a few names missing here. All I can say is its about time! This crap has been going on waaaay to long in these parts. It all boils down to money and greed. Too bad trespassing a stealing sheds is harder to prosecute because believe me the fines would have been a lot higher.

Skully there are more to come for sure, and you know who is on the chopping block. Its just a matter of time before you read about it. I will keep you posted. One Jumbo that I have sheds from was hammered about 300 yards from Josh,s stand. Scored 201 as a main frame 10. GIANT Sucks that he was poached but the guy got busted and is looking at $50k in fines and building so that is sweet.

Just what I don't want to hear... at least the part about poaching here. Poaching in Jackson Co. has always been a problem but with the good ole boy system in effect it would almost have to be someone from out of county or state. BTW I'm not talking about the LEO's here it's the "CONCERNED"? citizens that won't stand up and take the initiative to do something. Just don't let me catch you doing something, you may have a hard time driving a truck away with flat tires or worse.
