More youth season tags filled

Shot this buck at 7:30 after school along a fence between two standing corn fields. I was standing up looking through my binocs when I looked over and he was standing 40 yards away and coming. I normally don't shoot a muzzeloader or shotgun standing from a tree (less of a rest) but I had no choice. He was still coming but stopped to look around quartered way toward me. I thought that with a muzzleloader, it would be no problem; it wasn't. He only went about 60 yards and fell. He grosses around 130. Not too bad for an early season when you have to ambush them. And, a good start to the 2006-07 season for me!
