It's a little cold yet but a few morels are poping here. Picked a nice little batch this afternoon. YUM!

Shovelbuck, seriously, don't do it to us again this year. You posted picks of all of those mushrooms last year weeks before we or at least me (NE Iowa) could get my hands on them. I bet they were good tasting too.

They did taste good. Sorry that you don't have any yet. But then again, you guys have huge bucks and I have morels, want to trade?

Absolutely not! I just have to be patient and avoid all posts by shovelbuck for a couple weeks. Where is that ignore button??? Maggs
 
You guys think they might be up at the end of the week. Just wondering since we're supposed to have 70 degree weather and rain.
 
Ground is still pretty cold. I hope we get the forecast that is predicted- I'll then predict mushrooms by mid next week.
 
hey yall i found some of the good stuff.. it was tuff i had on full camo and had to sneak up on them but i finally got some morels they are gunna tast great with a steak tonight....found 2.5 pounds in boone iowa on public hunting....
and u all said it was to early...good luck yall......
 
Check out these little dinky grays I found in my backyard Sunday.The little bottle was laying next to them.

we found over 50 yesterday, even found 15 yellows, all pretty small, the biggest was about 5 inches tall

Found approximately 25 of them today in 3 hours. Should be really good in a few more days down this way.
 
27 greys and yellows mixed yesterday. Nothing over 4 inches yet but it's going to get good after tomorrow & Thursday. Maggs
