Glad I staked it in good

Golf balls on top will keep the rodents out and it’s an eye catcher for coons.

Had to chuckle with that one. When I started trapping when I was 10 years old, I felt the fur buyer was cheating me. So decided to learn how to skin all my furs and sell them that way. I practiced on "mice" If you can skin a mouse without damaging you've mastered the process ;) and made stretchers out of close hangers....
What's the pelt worth these days?

Started using those traps for the first time this year, but no mice.....9 coons, 1 possum and yuk, one skunk. The tick eater got released.

We used to catch chipmunks in those fur trapping. Occasionally all that was left was the top half of the chipmunk.

Pro tip, dribble a little liquid smoke next to the trap. IDK why but coons love that smell
