Moultree I-40

Been saving for a while and with a couple b-day, gift certificates I finally managed to buy a higher quality trail cam. Any of you using the I-40? It's basically the same as the higher-end D-40, but it is infrared. I talked to a couple fellow customers the day I bought it and they were very high on it.

i have that camera and love it!
id say the only down fall is the trigger speed is slightly slower than you might want, but if you are smart about how you stage it you should have no problem!

awesome battery life and it takes some vid as well!

i think you will be very happy with it, i will be getting another at some point. most realistic commercial camera available IMO!!

Tha4, have you had much trouble with partial or "no subject" pics? I assume you try to keep from placing the camera in a way that the deer are moving parallel across the field of view.

i set the camera so it was looking down the trail, rather than having the deer cross directly across the camera. youcan also set it back a little further and get a bigger range for the trigger.

i think the trigger speed is an easy issue to get past, just be creative when setting them up! i do however know that is not always the easiest answer.....

good luck!
