Moultrie Easy Fill Feeder

Any of you guys have this feeder, or had it at one time and have an extra battery from it layin around?

I've had it for a season, only complaint is raccoons, they craw right up the legs and spin the hopper and waste corn. I bought a solar panel ($30) and I never had an issue with charges, even in a thick creek bottom without direct sunlight. Two bushel of corn lasts me about 40 days feeding twice a day for 10 secs.

If you get it, use silicone and plug up every hole you can find, especially the control box cable that leads to the spin motor. I read reports of water getting in the control box and freezing up.

How do u hook up the solar panel to the battery? I could never figure that out..

There is a port on the right side of the box. It is covered by a rubber cap that pops right off. Definitely put a touch of silicon around the port.

Well, i got a battery... put it in the feeder, and found out that my controller buttons do not function so i cant set the time of day, feed times, or anything... now i gotta find a new timer for it, but can't find the one for this feeder.... crap! Moultrie has good products, but they definately dont want you to fix you're own stuff if it breaks....

I would try a new battery first

Pretty sure its not the battery.... the words on the controller show up bright as can be, battery level shows 100% and it cycles between the batt. level and the time, just the buttons dont work.
