FYI If you buy one of these cameras You MUST use a good quality battery such as an energizer or duracell. Do not use a rayovac or everready. If you do the camera will not work correctly. I bought one of these cams and it took between 12 and 20 seconds to trigger a picture. I thought at first it was a faulty sensor so I took it back to Walmart and tried another one. Same thing. I finally called Moultrie and got the scoop on the battery situation. After I replaced the rayovac with a new energizer, the camera worked awesome. Just thought I'd pass this along to anyone having slow response times on their Moultrie.

I did the same. Bought the camera from Wally World, set it up by the house and tried getting it to work. I was literally doing jumping Jacks in front of it, and it would take a solid 10 seconds for it to trigger. I returned it, thinking it was faulty, brought the new one home, and had the same result. Through my eyes, the good battery made the camera OK at best. No comparison to the cuddy.

I did notice the slow trigger speed also. Will replace the battery next outting.
Theres also NO comparison in price$$

Hi
Here is another FYI on the moultrie 100 game spy. I purchased 3 of them. They started out working fine. As it got colder I noticed the number of pictures was getting less and less. I called moultrie and they recommended checking the triggering sensitivity by walking toward the camera and seeing how many feet from the camera I was when it tripped. I did. It was barely 3 feet.

I called again they said it should be 25 feet and that I had bad Ir sensors and recommended I return for replacement.

I have sent them back but have not received my new ones yet too see if they are any better.

so if you are not getting the number of pictures you think you should be it may not hurt to check the sensitivity.
I switched to rechargeable batteries shortly after putting them up and like them lots better! They last much longer than the disposables.
