Mounts?

So i called in and shot my "first" bird on my own little more work than having dad call them in for you...It was a nice lil tom but the only problem is he is still in the freezer...I wanna get him mounted but i am unsure of how or where to get him done. Any reccommendations? Cheaper is better.

A cheap turkey mount is not worth doing in my opinion. They'll look like crap and probably fall apart within a few years. If money is a big issue then just do a fan mount.

Go with a breast mount if cheaper is better....Or a fan mount! I wouldnt have anyone do a full body mount for cheap.

Well done full body mounts are awesome and worth the money, but expensive!
crappy/cheap mounts are terrible and you would be better off doing a fan mount.
imo

Durk Sterner out of lone tree probably does the best turkey mounts around, I know he learned from the best and his mounts are very realistic. Give him a buzz or send him a PM (Stuffy on here) you won't be dissappointed.

I would tell you to take it to my buddy Bill Scott of DropTine Taxidermy out of Wilton, he does amazing strutters, but he's getting deployed in February so you'd be waiting a looong time. I'm hoping to get my girlfriend's bird back before he goes but it might be a stretch. Those things take a lot of taxidermy work and that is why they cost a pretty dime.

Brincks Taxidermy in Washburn (near waterloo) does really good work
