As of now I need rain or all I will be able to score is seeds. Who would have thought we would be scoring Turnips in lure of a back rub from the Bonker. Muddy you should start the Muddy Club Of Turnip Trophys and it could be similar to P&Y, everything has to be fairchase.
Hope to get our 3 acres planted end of next week. This will be our first food plot on the farm so if we get something growing I will be happy. I know in the future we will be going the non commercial route but for our first attempt we are planting Antler King Honey Hole, Whitetail Institute Winter Greens and Tall Tine Tubers. An acre in each. This farming thing isn't easy but it sure seems fun.
I'm in! I'll pass on the back rub though.... we have actually been getting good rain here in WI. I don't think I put down enough nitrogen though -- too cheap
eh throw me in...3 acres of turnips in on july 27th...hopefully one plant gets big enough to be worthy! you know the old saying....rain or shine turnips in by july 29!
You know what they say, "You never been "rubbed" until you been "rubbed" by "The Bonker" Course the "winner" will receive his "rub" in my special "rub room".
Need a rules clarification, wieght and girth of the turnip or the person who planted it? And is it weight and girth at the time I planted or the time I harvest. Either way I'm in the running for all three.
