The prez is driving right by work today and stopping at Cabelas for a short visit today. It's kind of cool to have the most powerful man in the world just feet away even if it's only for a short time.

Advance teams of secret service (I'm guessing) have been around in the last few days and choppers are around also. We were just told this morning by our boss that we can't be on the roof of the plant. Maybe the city boys see this more than us country hicks but I still think it's interesting how they go to great length's and preperation to protect the leader of the free world........

Have seen his carivan several times he was in DSM, is really impressive the protection and the cars and escort, Chevy SUV'S with back door open guards hanging out with M16's..really cool armour plated Benz's limo's three all look alike, which one is he in or is he in one of SUV's?? your right is is a really cool site to see

When any of them (President, VP, Presumptive Candidate)are gonna be in eastern Iowa the Secret Service always pays a visit to the UofI's Level III Trauma Unit to set up the "This is whats gonna happen if this happens" senarios. They check the staff that is shedualed to work that day and I belive do a quick back ground check, not sure about that, but I've been eyeballed by more than one very spooky dude in a dark suit and sunglasses. The University built new roof top pads for AirCare, one of them had to be certified to handle the weight of the Presidents chopper, if needed. I never want to be in the situation to have to "work" on anybody in a position of power.

Well George cruised thru town about 2 hrs ago, was quite the sight with all the buses and the Secret Service Vehicles... Talk about some decked out vehicles.!!

Mr. Bush was in the front window of one of the buses waving as he passed by 3M... Pretty cool experience
 
i bet he can get on whatever land he wants...but hey if he wants to put up with the stress of trying to make all of america happy he's more than willing to be able to hunt with me anyday
 
just think if ol' george would introduce whitetails over there in iraq then that would give those idiots something to do besides do everything they can to kill us and each other! sounds like a good plan to me! HELL YEAH for Mr. Bush!!!!!

Hey Stuffy,

In reguards to Ogy, they changed the Prez's itenerary so he (the prez) wouldn't be in town when Rick was workin. They did, however, give him a US flag, a tape of the Star Spangled Banner and a player for the tape to take to IMS.

I had Ol' G.W.'s caravan go by within mere feet......granted that was before he went into a underground bunker on Sept. 11th. There were no guys hanging out of the back with guns, but on the other hand they closed the whole base down and had 30 of us lining the streets and yes we had guns.......big fast ones.
