My buddy found some mushrooms yesterday here in central Iowa. I can taste them now, with some wild turkey.

We received two inches of rain in the past few days. The temps last weekend should have really jumped up the ground temps. All we need now is some more heat.

Dang it, I'm on vacation all next week with nothing to do but turkey hunt, mushroom hunt, shed hunt, and build a pond dock.

Good Luck Ghost! Guided a friend to nice bird this AM- dumb luck on my part. He was done at 0635. Concentrated on mushrooms for 45 minutes or so- Zero. You're right- a little heat now and it should be great.

My boys and I found 41 greys in an hour at the end of our street yesterday. East side of Des Moines by Four-Mile creek. Game on! the rumors are true!
