Hey I was wondering does anyone here shoot a scope on there muzzleloader and what brand or power do you recommend if you do? Any input would be great. Thanks
I have been hunting with a Mueller 4-16x50mm AO Red Dot on my Knight Disc Extreme for several years none. I am very happy with this scope and IMO it is a quality scope for the price.
I know that several other IW members also use this scope and are pleased with it. As long as you are looking, the Mueller line of scopes is an option worth checking out.
I went with the Nikon Monarch UCC in 2X7. I figured I would be more likely to need the lower power for the thick stuff than I would need 9X for long shots.
The new Nikon Omega BDC-250 is sweet. Site in 250 grain sabots at 100 yards and it has ballistic drop circles for out to 250 yards. 5 inches of eye relief.
Hey guys thanks for all the input that was really helpful. I figure I'm debating between the Nikon Omega and the Leupold. I've got the Omega muzzleloader and that scope seems to be tailored specifically for that muzzleloader, so I'm leaning that way. Does anyone have this scope or has heard of any problems with it? Thanks again for the input its a lot easier to get real hunter opinions. This site is one of kind.
I have it (LOVE IT!!!) The optics are awesome, the toolless finger windage/elevation adjustments are wonderful. 3X9 power but with 5" of eye relief prevents black eye. Most rifle scope have 3-4" eye relief. I can't express how happy I am with this scope.
Problem is they are next to impossible to get right now. Hot ticket item...
