My European experiment...

Gladiator

Well, after some debating about how I was going to try my European mount (keep in mind I wasn't going to spend a lot of money and I wanted to get a little creative), I finally decided on a TV Wall mount...after all, why not eh?

I took the advice of some of you; put it all together and this is finally what I came up with. I searched online and talked with a friend a little bit about this...I bought a TV Wall mount for about 25-30 bucks and decided I was going to give this a shot. I can swivel the European in any direction and any tilt...I screwed a piece of trim to the underside of the skull and then ended up screwing the mount to the trim. I was hoping for the best and I wasn't disappointed at all...thought I'd share in case anyone else wanted to try this...not the 'pertiest' thing in the world - matter a fact a little bit 'rough', but it fits my personality. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Looks good, very functional. Nice buck too!!!!!!!!!!

The mount looks great. I would cover that TV mount in treebark or something, maybe some type of grass. Just an idea /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

I'm not gonna lie, that is a wacked out idea...which is why I LOVE it! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

That's a heck of an idea too. Perhaps bust out some duck boat paint and leaf patterns even. This thing has serious potential beyond it's current genius.

talk to some of the homebrew camera guys about how they "treebark" their camera boxes. even camo tape would look ok.

a good way to add extra mounts to a "full" wall.

Liquid nails or similar on a large chunk of actual bark used as a mold. Let dry, remove and adhere to unit, paint to preference. Might be a little tricky with all the varying shapes on the bracket but a good idea nonetheless.

Someone needs to get on this idea of camo or treebark TV wall mounts for these european mounts. There's $ to be made.

Wonder what it would cost to have one dipped? Where would ya get one dipped?

I wanna see pics when you guys get these all complete. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

If you want to get one dipped, send it here http://www.vcfinishes.com/id56.html. They dip almost anything. The guy I bought my camera arm sends them here to get dipped I believe.
