Just wanted to put this out there. I started bow hunting last year but only got two yearlings. This year, I have got a doe and this buck. I shot him on Nov. 22 at 8:15 AM (I skipped school that day---it was okay because I have a 4.0 grade point average!!!) I heard him grunting around so I grunted back and he walked in all puffed up to 15 yards and looked right up at me! I normally won't take quartering toward shots but since he wasn't moving, I took the shot. I hit the artery right below the spine, clipped both lungs, and went through the stomach. The buck only ran 100 yards. He has a broken main beam right after his left G2 but that is okay. He is a good first bow buck (especially for a 15 year old) and it was about the hunt itself---I called him right into me and everything. I can say this------It was sure better than being in school!!!
