I bought a TK 2000 muzzleloader shotgun and this was the first year I've used it. My first bird with it, a 26 lb. 10" beard, was at 6:01am the first day of the 2nd season. It was a 15 yrd. shot so the muzzleloader kocked him down hard. My second bird came the first morning of the 4th season at 5:53am. A 25lb. 9 1/2" beard. I paced that shot off at 44 yrds and the bird went down like a ton of bricks. That muzzleloader really hits em hard. I have taken a total of 26 toms. Most with a shotgun and several with a bow but for some reason the muzzleloader shotgun seems to been my new turkey slayer!!!!

Impressive gobblers, congrats.

I'm curious, what kind load do you use, powder and charge, pellet size and amount.

Thanks

the first one a combo of 4s and 5s, 209 primer,120 grain powder (can't use pellets). the second bird was with 4s only and same powder and 209 primer. At 43 yrds it really did a number on that Tom. After the smoke cleared he wasn't moving. I think I'm really going to like using the tk2000.

I bought a TK 2000 as well this year and shot my 20LB 9 1/2" bearded turkey at 20 yards with number 4s and 120 grains. Don't know about yours QDMR but my TK2000 gives out a nice jolt, to the gobbler and the person pulling the trigger. Congrats on the Toms!

yea nonres- i noticed it with the first bird but not the second. the second shot had alot of smoke and i was trying to look thru it to make sure the tom was down so maybe i just didn't feel it so much.
