I was able to quickly upgrade my ATV over the past 7-10 days. Met up with the buyer of the old ATV today to complete that transaction. Hopefully the new owner get many safe years of use out it.
Once back to town, I picked up my upgrade unit. It is a 2005 Sportsman 400. Very clean, 1,200 miles and has a 2,500 lb Warn winch already installed. I would have preferred a drab green color over the red but when I found a very clean used unit, I figured I better just take it.
Also want to mention a new powersports dealer in Webster City. Business name is Webster City Powersports LLC and is a new business venture for a former Electrolux employee (plant was recently closed and moved to Mexico). Owner is Mike Henely. Currently Mike is strictly dealing in used items (snowmobiles, sport/utility ATV's, and motorcycles). It was nice to find what I think was a solid deal on a used ATV and support a new start-up business at the same time. My impression is Mike is pricing items competitively and I wanted to let all of you know of this alternative if you are looking for a used powersports unit. As a for instance, he currently has a 2011 Sportsman 500 (carb) with approx. 150 miles priced at I believe $5,100. That sounded like a pretty decent price on an almost new ATV.
