My Vote for Broadhead!

All this talk about rage vs other heads had me thinking. How many of you guys have tried the Magnus buzzcuts or stingers? I have had the same problem that alot of poeple have that shoot mechanical heads. No pass though. I am really good at hitting the shoulder for some reason and a few years back i lost my biggest buck i have seen due to this. So i decided that i was going to change my arrow set up. I went with a little heavier arrow, but i did not know what head to shoot. I still wanted my arrows to fly like i was shooting a field point. After doing a lot of research i decided to give the Magnus buzzcut a try. I could not believe how well these heads fly. In fact i think they fly better then the mechanical head that i shoot. Last year i got to test my new set up out, mainly because i suck and hit the buck in the shoulder yet again and was very pleased with the results. I will not shoot another head again. I am shocked that more of you guys on this site have not talked about these heads more. These pictures are the proof!:way: And as you can see the buck did not have a little frame, as he dressed out 225lbs!

Uncle Ted has been swearing by the Magnus Stinger heads for years now. He's probably killed like a million animals with them and I think they performed well on everything from house cats to yetis. That crazy bastage flings those things at everything.

But in all seriousness, its hard to beat a COC head if you can get them to fly well. Another good one is the Muzzy Phantom. :way:

Good looking buck BTW

I've used them a few times. Love the head, just like a 3 blade cut vs the 2 blade on them. I will admit, I think they fly better than most any other broadhead on the market.

I am a believer that the flight of a broad-head will vary depending on the bow and setup. Just because it fly's great from one bow doesn't mean it will fly great for the next one.

I'm shooting the 100 grain Phantom this year. It took some doing to tune up this year but I have them flying like darts.:way:

I have been shooting a lot of different fixed blades over the years, I now have the LARGE MX-3's which are wider than a lot of other fixed blades. I spin them with my arrow spinner until I get an arrow/broadhead combination that's PERFECT. Takes maybe 30 mins before season starts. I've consistently had many different fixed broadheads fly perfectly. If I didn't spin them, they would not fly so great. I can't tell one bit of difference in group size from fixed broadheads to field tips. What I can't believe is how many guys out there don't spin their fixed blade broadheads!?!??!!!! It's amazing. It's such a no-brainer, to me, not doing it is like not changing the oil on your car or not sighting your gun in. Just something you should do. But, that's my experience. Fly perfect and I have nothing to be nervous about VS when I shot Rage's and saw all the problems 1st hand. my 2 cents

That's awesome with above, that's quite the slaying and penetration!!! Impressive.

Stingers, buzzcuts, phantoms, steel force etc. are all great heads cut on contact heads and work just fine.
