My wife's bear!!!!

Hardcorehunter

UL Shelter/Stove Geek
Here is a nice bear my wife just took in ON in Sept. She is in this months IA Sportsman magazine that you get free at Casey's. She is also in Hoyt archery's website archives for photo of the week for September. We have some friends and contacts that are trying to help us bust into the hunting industry as a husband/wife hunting team. We need a lot of film time on us hunting together so that we can present the industry with some footage. She also took a nice buck and a doe last year. There are lots of female archers but very few pretty ones that have the ability to kill an animal. I'm hoping her looks and my hunting skills can help us get there. HCH Harvested with a Hoyt Trykon, 3 blade 100 gr muzzy, and gold tip arrow.

Very nice, I love to see women getting involved in our sport, we need all the support we can get. It looks like her skills & very good looks will certainly bring both of you more oportunities. I am always impressed with what women are doing for hunting, Kat is a good example, right up there with Tiffany! I look forward to seeing more, congratulations!

Congrats to your lovely wife!

Btw, ALL women who have enough spirit, drive and love of the outdoors to become hunters are beautiful!

[/ QUOTE ]All of the things that God makes are beautiful. Thanks for the compliments everybody. We are into fairchase, no canned hunts. I am at the point that I would rather watch a someone bowhunting squirrels than this high fence hunting that seems to plague the airwaves now. Anyway; thanks again, I am pretty proud of her. She didn't start shooting a bow until a year and a half ago and she has taken a nice buck, doe, and now a bear. She had some surgery a week and a half ago that is going to put her out of archery for a little bit.

HCH, pass on my congrats to your wife for the bear harvest. That's something I've yet to try, but may get the chance next fall. I have a couple thoughts regarding some things you mentioned. One - please be careful about playing off someone's looks. I could go on for a long time about this because I have a pretty 20-year old daughter who spends too much time worrying about how she looks compared to other girls, and whether or not she is pretty. If you and your wife have a good camera personality, and are genuine people, go that direction, and don't worry about sex appeal in the video. Two - Along the same lines, if your wife is going be an advocate for Christianity to women, remember that God made it very clear . ."man looks at the outward appearance, but God judges the heart". The last thing a lady, whether Christian or not, needs to be shown is that her value ties in to her looks. They just need to be shown that anything that God touches has value. No more preaching from me, and I do apologize if I have stepped on toes. I really like the fact that you two are able to hunt together - not enough couples take time to share interests and remain best friends. Happy hunting !
