Did anybody kill this deer during the gun season? I heard from a reliable source that he was around during the bow season and th DNR was keeping close tabs on him. It would be neat to see the largest gun killed typical and nontypical come from IOWA in the same year!!!!

i dont know if this is the same thang but i heared their was the 2nd worlds largest buck shoot in nebraska about 50 minutes away from lincoln. Has anyone head about this or have a web sit or a picture i can look at.
 
Thats the one. There was another non-typical archery buck shot by Lincoln that scored in the mid 180's. We can grow them here in Nebraska. They just need to make it thru a couple of rifle seasons first.
 
The buck I am refering too is the deer that had its sheds fetured in North American Whitetail Mag a couple of months ago. I have some info on this deer and no generally where its at in NE Iowa but was just curious if it made it throught the early gun season. If it was killed I am sure someone would have heard by now. By the way this deer is a huge typical

THERE'S NO REPORT'S UP HERE OF THAT DEER BEING TAKEN YET. I'M SURE IF IT WAS IT WOULDN'T TAKE LONG FOR THE WORD TO SPREAD. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL NICE ONE'S THOUGH. ONE THAT GROSSED 200, ONE AT 193, AND ONE AT 185. BUT NO NEWS ON THE MIDWEST MONSTER......

seen picture of a buck that was taken this fall that was taken by a bow hunter.Looks like the heartland giant with some abnormal growth.
