Great post and pics THA4!

Those birds have a Rio look to them but I'm pretty sure they dont have Rios in NE Nebraska, do they? hybrids or what strain are they? Just curious /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Again great pics, I am headed out to NW Nebraska on April 23rd. Can't get here soon enough.

Merriams/Eastern Hybrids. Occasionally you will see Easterns, and even rarer are the Merriams, but the Hybrids seem to dominate the bird count. it seems to me they have almost become a subspecies in themselves......

gawsh, i cant wait!!!

no.....

we shot our double the first afternoon, Jeremy killed his the following morning and i hunted another day with no luck, then finally killed my jake the last morning......

it was cool enough to keep the birds in a cooler in the shade. then take group pix the last day

Good luck and please take and post pics. It helps me with the "turkey shakes" I have been getting. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
