And thought Fowl pox is mostly white/cream color in turkeys, could be wrong.. My first though was a hybrid with ocellated turkey but don't think that'd be in Iowa

No way it's Ocellated, I only know of one breeder in the United States. Good luck finding any for sale in Iowa. I don't raise Turkeys, I'm just assuming that's what it is. I've seen it be white/Orange on a bright red head to start then the color fades out. That's more than likely a dead turkey walking without meds if it has pox. Pretty rare though, I've never had a bird get it. I'm fighting Northern Fowl mites right now though.

I think we played Northern when I was in high school, those Fowl Mites always had good linemen and speedy backs
