Needs a good home

Guys,

This is a post that I never thought I would have to make. But I have had to move to a place that I can not bring my dog with me. This absolutely blows, but I need to find a good home for him. Right now he is at my parents, and with there schedule, it is not fair for him to have to stay in the kennel as much as he is. He is an outdoor dog, and in his younger years, has had a ton of pheasants killed over him. In the last few years though he has been more of a companion than anything. He is full of energy and full of personality. He knows basic obedience and is great around other dogs and people.

I also think that he needs to be kept outside, I have toyed with the idea of bringing him inside so that I can make it work. But I just don't think that he would do well inside.

What I am looking for is someone who would be willing to take him, with one condition. If for any reason it does not work out, I will take him back and have my parents keep him. I do not want him dumped off at some shelter or somewhere where he will be kenneled all day.

I dont have any good pictures available, but he did come from some great bloodlines but I never did file the papers on him.

Please PM me if you think we can figure something out.

Sorry to hear about this Nick. Would take him in a heart beat if I had the room to let him run but I wouldn't be doing him much justice either. Hope you find a good home for him.

wow thats brutal man, it sucks enough being away at college and not being able to take my dog with me, couldnt imagine having to do that. Best of luck to you!

It might take some time and training, but you could easily make your dog a house dog. I have a two year old GSP that spends most of his time indoors. I walk him every day, and let him run evenings in the yard. I couldn't part with him for any reason!

Hope you find a good home for him. Our dog is back at the in-laws farm and it's hard leaving her everytime we go to visit. Nothing like a lab for companionship.

A dog should be a outside dog. Especially one that likes to be outside. I hope you find a good home for him and also hope that things can work out and you will be able to keep your friend. As a dog is a mans best friend

I'm in a situation where our landlord will not let us have the dog. Since she's an 85 lb black lab, I can sort of understand his position. We knew this going into the lease, so she will have to live on the farm until we can purchase a home of our own. I hope you can find a good home for your dog.
