New Approach?!

This isn't new but I'm curious who will respond.
I bowhunt almost exclusively from ground blinds and/or stalking. I still get up in a tree once in a while, but what always happens is that perfect scenario when: "if I could move it would be paydirt" It takes a different kind of patience and mindset, but for me it's very rewarding and a more active hunt. Not just sittin' in a tree. Anybody else agree?

I find myself feeling like that when turkey hunting with the bow from a blind. Wanting to be more mobil. I figure if I set up right and have patience I'll have a shooter buck at close range. I have little confidence in my ability to sneak a mature buck. Maybe I should practice with doe tags.

i love hunting off the ground have taken all but one deer out of a ground blind or stalking

I have taken all my deer with a bow from a treestand. Almost all of the deer I have harvested with a rifle have came from the ground. This year I tend to try and fill my antlerless tag from the ground, just to try the experience.

I'm with SD Buck. It seems I have better luck from the ground during gun season. Most be all the machine gun fire keeping the deer moving.

When I get bored sitting in my tree I will always still hunt to my next spot. Just the time I think I'm wasting my time and pick up speed...I always spook one.
