Good thing this happened now and not a month from now when the season starts up here in MN! I was shooting my bow last night and had just finished shooting about 50 arrows when I looked down at my string and noticed that only one strand of the string above the lower cam was holding the sting together and it was coming completely apart!!! I nearly dropped the bow for fear of the rest of the string coming apart and creating a major catasrophe. I have no idea how this happened. I've been shooting every day or so for quite a while and I know I would have noticed that when I started shooting last night. It almost looks as if I set the bow down on a broadhead and it cut the string but I wasn't shooting broadheads!
So I obviously need a new string and all the shops in town are saying 4-5 days to get it done so I want to take it in tonight. They've all given me a different kind of string to choose from ranging from 60-100 bucks. What do you guys recommend? They said 8125 Dyna flight, Vapor Trail, 452X, a fast light. The one guy recommended the Vapor Trail and the other guy said the 8125, what do you guys think?
Just when I got the blazer vane thing fixed and got my bow shooting the best it ever has, my string takes a crap! Guess I should just buy a new Switchback.
Thanks guys.
