I am in the market for a new bow after selling my Carbon Element... I think I will end up with another Hoyt, but just curious what other bows are real shooters. I just dont know enough about other bows, however that being said, I will not get a mathews.

I have heard great things about the Elite Energy. Comes in 35 and 32 I believe. I will be shooting one this off season and seeing if I like it.

If I was buying right now it would be either the bowtech Prodigy or Bowtech experience. I have always liked bowtech though. Just got to shoot them all and see what you like. They are all good these days.

I'd also look into the new bowtechs they have some awesome bows and I truly believe are pulling away from the other industries.. I want to learn more about the new cam system

Thanks for the replies guys... and I am open to all brands really, I just dont know what is out there per say... I have always been a Hoyt guy, so just dont know is all... instead of shooting 25 bows, if I could narrow it down to 6 it would be huge (example)

Take a look at the Obsession bows, especially the Evolution and Phoenix. Shot Mathews for years and then Elite and I definitely like these better. Everyone is different, just some more input.

Ive been shooting the same elite since the spring of 2011, i just cant part with it.
Every year i shoot all the new bows jusy to see if something jumps out at me.
I dont care what the sticker on the limb says and am not at all brand loyal. I shot mathews for 10 yrs until I actually looked elsewhere. Shoot them all and you will know what feels the best. As long as there is a dealer close if something happens

All of my family and friends shoot Bear Archery or Martin..... Bear has come along way...

New PSE DNA X-Force... Fastest hunting bow on market from what I could find, serious penetration with VAP arrows! I just bought it for this year and won't buy another bow again. I am guessing it would take a stroke of engineering to make a faster one that is practical for hunting, so won't have to worry about upgrading as it is already an upgrade from the first X-Force they made... Also, the price for a bare bow is $900, customize yourself and very reasonable price. Call me and I can give you more info and give you a couple cool stories about it. For what it is worth, also looked at the Hoyt Carbon Spyders and didn't go that route. You would be amazed!

If I had the funds, I'd go get a Bowtech RPM 360 today. I currently shoot an Invasion by Bowtech. The Progress they made between the two in just 3 years is amazing. Very smooth draw and doesn't want to jump out of your hand at full draw, not to mention it's one of the fastest bows out there.

Everyone has their preference.. Go out and test as many as you can. I think year by year, the difference between each bow put out is getting smaller and smaller. Chances are when you decide to drop $1k plus on a new bow, it's going to be nice! Good Luck.

I've shot an Ol'Mathews LX for the last 11yrs. Killed a lot of deer with that bow. That being said I've never found a bow that draws as smooth as it does until I shot the Mathews NoCam HTR. I'm not about speed and this bow isn't built on it. But the smoothness, quietness and no vibration of it has me sold. I'll be owning one shortly. I've tested all the big brands every few years and never taken the bait until now. I'll NEVER let go of my LX though!! She'll make a great backup bow. Lol.

I can't get myself to upgrade my switchback. Shot lots of other bows in the time frame of owning it and just couldn't find a reason to leave it. Not gonna say a few along the way weren't nicer/better, but not that much. I think I made the right decision then and I hope to make the right next decision. Eventually it will become my backup (1-2 yrs prolly) and I'll be asking all the same questions you have.

For a hunting bow, Elite synergy hands down. You have to push forward to let it down. In the moment of truth this is the bow you want. Not fast, but a killer.

I decided I was going to change bows after the season so I went out and shot as many as I could. I shot the Mathews no cam, Prime Rival and Ion, Bowtech Prodigy, Hoyt Nitrum Turbo, and elite synergy. I was set on the elite synergy for it's smooth draw and solid back wall, then I shot the Xpedition Xcentric....wow! One shot was all it took, super smooth and super fast- ibo 354fps. Great bow, I could go on and on.
