New CVA Muzzleloader

Has anyone shot the New CVA muzzloader that looks lik the T/C Encore, I've held one and they feel like a pretty solid gun, I see they are resonably priced with a lot of options. My dad has a CVA HunterMag and it is a very nice gun doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it shoots well. I was just wondering if this new one was the same.

The only thing I did'nt like about my Encore was the lawyer trigger (much to hard it trip) So I had it "fixed".
I'd bet the CVA will make you happy if all you want is a no frills 209 - inline. Scope it and try full patch bullets. I've also found Tripple 7 to be great stuff. I gave my brother-in-law all my Pyrodex!

I was thinking about trying triple 7 this year, you just sold me on it. I shoot barnes expander 250gr in my T/C Blackdiamond, I just wonder if I'll be taking a step down in quality.

In powder or bullet? To me Tripple 7 is far better than Pyrodex. Barnes makes a .50cal with a plastic "gas check" thing on the rear.

I switched to Triple 7 for the late season last year, and loved it. Doesn't smell as bad, has much less fouling, and it cleans up a whole lot easier. Haven't checked to see if the pellets are out yet, but I may just stick with the powder anyway.
