FWIW I bought one of these a couple weeks ago to try it out and I have to say this call gets a pretty good review overall. Makes good raspy yelps and nice sounding cutts. With a little practice you can make really good purrs as well. It is a bit on the loud side, so it would be best for long distance or windy days. Any situation that you would need a box call for pretty much. However this call is more compact than a box call, and dead quiet to carry. (no lid noise to address) The only thing that I dont care for is that it takes a pretty good amount of air to make a sound so you cant really start off light and then build volume. Otherwise I am pleased. It may have replaced my current box call. We'll see. Hopefully this info helps anyone who may be wondering about this new call. Good luck this spring!
