New Forums?

We've noticed that the forum has been getting "cluttered" lately and a lot of information get's buried easily in the "Iowa Whitetail Conference"

I've recently broken the forum into more segments and I'm wondering if members like this? Should we continue to add a few more sections? What would YOU like to see?

More sub forums should increase participation! This is what members asked for on Skip’s thread Improving IW. Nice work TH!!!

I like what you've done so far but I wouldn't go overboard on the sub forums. I think too many sub forums will equal low traffic in some forums. If there is a post about a hunt out west in the whitetail conference, I will click on it out of curiosity and probably learn something. But unless I am planning to go on a hunt out west, I will probably rarely visit a dedicated forum for out west hunting thus missing some posts that I may find interesting. Also, if you move too many general topics out of the whitetail conference I think you might have a lack of new threads in the main area leading to a perception of low traffic on the site, and perception tends to become reality.
All in all I have loved the rejuvenation of the site . This place was on life support but has made huge strides since Skip took over. Keep up the good work!

I like it. I'm usually on the tapatalk app and I mostly hit up the threads with the new comments, so I hardly filter through the different tabs unless I login on my laptop or I've got some time to kill. I bet you'll be able to see what works and what doesn't pretty easily though based on traffic and what not. Doesn't hurt to change things up and make it more organized one bit.

I mentioned to Skip— Land Tour section

We have one on another forum, and it’s active. Pictures, updates, mainly habitat stuff, trail cams...etc.

You don’t have to post aerials or even location.

I'm not a fan of the idea for there to be more forums. There just isn't enough traffic for it. First and foremost this is a whitetail hunting site. Keep it that way. Look at how few hits some of the existing forums get already. Until the site gets more active members, don't add more forums.

Agree with this. I personally dont see the need for an Archery or Bowfishing forum at the moment, but they're not going to keep me up at night.

Bowfishing forum, now you are talkin! The Hunting Out West forum is a good idea. Muddy you still need to start the July-September trail cam contest thread.

I guess since I got you onto tapatalk we should start seeing that bowfishing forum blow up, yeah?

Long 2 weeks driving in Colorado, been playing catch up past 2 days but will get the thread started.

I’m not going to lie I don’t like the new layout I thought it was very well put together and organized before. Now it just seems jumbled and disorganized. Maybe if the subforums were grouped together and organized differently it would help.
