16 year old boy from Independence shot a legendary 26 point non-typical buck on November 18 @ 4:45 pm...I guess the buck has been known about for a good 3-4 years and has been chased and scouted for just as long...they might have possibly found the sheds from last year but aren't completely sure but they are HUGE as is he...I guess they green scored it and it cleared the iowa record by 10 points but they think it will drop 2 inches because of the drying process...this was the kid's 1 year of bowhunting and boy did he get one to remember...Congrats on a great deer Brian...

Another Monster shot in iowa? gezzz i feel left out guys!! send some of those deer to our farm now common. Does anyone have any pictures to post on here? i really would like to see how big this one is.........i guess my last chance for a bow buck is this weekend if Basketball practice and the work schedual allow some hunting to be done.....and you can't forget the time with the girlfriend, she gets kinda irritated if im gone ever single weekend and we dont getta see each other. Well if it doesn't happen this weekend i guess my hopes and prayers move to shotgun season!!

Dad and i still have 3 antlerless, 2 anysex bow tags to fill and 4 turkey tags to fill before december 6th and im starting to think i might get 2 afternoons in tops up in the trees.

At the gym last night after hunting A reliable told me there is a buck recently taken in Alamakee County that will give this buck a little competition. Sounds like a lot of records will need updated this year!!!
