This was sent to me by winniejoe. The internet story is that the deer measures large enough to be a world record nontypical but was not taken by legal means. web page
 
thats one awesome deer!!!! I dont think it would be close to a world record nontypical, but still a great buck!!!

Could be a new WR typical? I don't see a great deal of deductions there but a side profile would do wonders.

That buck is HUGE!!!! World Class for sure but I can't wee where it has enough NT growth to surpass the NT world record. I'm with Shredder, a side view could change my mind. Amazing deer though!
 
That thing sure looked a lot bigger in the first color photo......So I think maybe here in Iowa we would let him "grow" another year

So now we have a "new" catagory; "World Record Poached Buck"? You just lit the fire of every would be poacher out there. This World Record craze is getting alittle out of hand! Any thing to see your name in the lights. "new world record taken by a hunter sitting on a 5-gallon bucket", "new world record record taken by a woman with blonde braids", "new world record taken by a hunter with...,?" Get my point? How many catagories are in the B&C and P&Y and Longhunters books? THESE ARE THE ONLY WORLD RECORDS!!! To call this deer a "New World Record Poached Buck" is a slap in the face to every law abiding, ethical hunter out there. The deer WAS POACHED for christs sakes!
 
Yeah it was and I wonder how many bucks in the current record books have been taken against the law. It would probably really be amazing.
 
I cannot believe a picture of an illegally taken deer was released and why on earth do I see pictures of 2 different people with that deer, please don't tell me one of them is a conservation officer. I just cannot understand why a picture of such a tremendous deer that was illegally taken even needs to get out to the public, it only makes the hunting community look bad. Like Danny Cole said, "it's a poached deer for Christ's sake"!! Oh yeah " throw the damn book at the idiots that shot it!!!
 
WHY!!?? I don't know about you guys but that an awesome looking white-tail...to bad his life came to end the illegal way..he would've been a great braggin story had he been taken the right way..Use your Head man...

What is the problem with the picture being released? It should be, we should be able to see what poachers are stealing from us. How about a little respect for the Conservation Officers who caught this guy. These guys made a good case and should be thanked by all of us.
