Hope you have some time to check these out. Alot of great new innovations. I think I would claim bankruptcy if I ever attended this show. 2005 ATA Show
I checked out that site for the new camo...www.mothwingcamo.com Looks awesome! They don't have much up there yet but I can't wait to see some of those patterns in person.
Looks like a whole bunch of neat new broadhead designs as well. This must be the year of the 2 blade mechanical.
I know Supertec was mounting a Trophy Ridge sight on it last I seen him....then he mumbled something about going to shoot the ProAm with it in Mason City.
That set-up would be handy for the big one that sneaks in behind you! Now all you need is one of those new "Deer-View Mirrors" so you can see him sneaking in!
This bow is being made by a company right here in Iowa. The name is RDT and it stands for Reverse Draw Technology. The design of this bow allows for the "power stroke" or draw length if you will to be increased from the 14"-15" avg. of a crossbow to 19 1/4" on the RDT. Increases speed and reduces the draw weight. The arrow does not ride on a rail, rather a teflon rest at the end of the rail. This design was invented by Jim Kempf. He then got together with Sam Collora of Mrs. Doe Pee's. They employed a tool and die company owned by Louis & Allen Van Winkle known and the "Dutch Wizards". I just spoke with Sam and he says that they in no way intend to change the current laws reguarding crossbow use in Iowa. They do however see the need for weapons such as this for handicap people whom they call "special forces". Sam made it clear that he is an Iowa Bowhunter at heart and will not try to get them into the regular archery season.
this crossbow is extremely quiet and very fast. the 98# model has a bolt speed of 326fps, and the 125# model has a speed of 364 fps. this is achieved by using a much longer power stroke than conventional crossbows.
