New to bow hunting-Technical question

I recently bought my first bow, a Matthews Q2, and have been shooting as much as I can. I've been getting good groups at 20 yards (3-4 inches), and lately have been reading about bow tuning. How does one get their bow tuned? I have been shooting only field points, and how does shooting broadheads affect things? Thanks!

I agree that you have an excellent bow and the easton site has great information for tuning your bow. If you had your bow set up at the pro shop you bought it at you should be in good shape. Single cam bows are simple to tune and keep tuned because they never go out of time having only one cam. As for your broadheads it would depend on what type you are using. Fixed blades require you to adjust your sights while expandables normally do not. As always, and I'm sure you already know, do all you can to eliminate your human odor. All the practice in the world won't do much good if you can't get a deer close enough to shoot. Good Luck!

ALL GOOD ADVICE. I WOULD ADD THAT GETTING TO KNOW OTHERS WHO SHOOT ARCHERY IS KEY TO LEARNING THIS SPORT. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE FRIENDS TO HELP YOU OUT WHEN YOU HAVE A QUESTION OR PROBLEM WITH YOUR EQUIPMENT. PRACTICE AND GET OUT TO SOME 3-D TOURNMENTS. LIKE ALL OTHER SPORTS IF YOU COMPETE WITH OTHERS WHO ARE BETTER THAN YOU ,YOU WILL BECOME A BETTER SHOOTER. GOOD LUCK.

Check out NAP's site, fairly detailed. You can always save yourself some headaches by shooting mechanicals if you have a tough time with fixed blades. Good luck!
